Capabilities – Collections

Shackleton Credit offers a full service late-stage collection function from call centre all the way through to a full legal offering. This means we are able to provide a one-stop shop for credit providers wishing to outsource their collections to us on a contingency basis.

As far as collection capabilities are concerned, we have the following suite of resources:


Call Centre:

Our call centre is staffed by trained collectors who are managed closely by experienced managers. We have capability to work through large volumes of accounts to activate them as a matter of priority.


Specialist Teams

We have teams that specialise in certain areas of the collection environment:

  • Debt review: we have developed relationships with the Debt Counsellor network nation-wide. This enables us to quickly and efficiently deal with debtors who are under debt review on behalf of credit providers who wish to outsource this collection function.

  • Deceased: we offer a service to credit providers of outsourcing their claim process in deceased estates. Our services include:
    • Identifying the relevant Executor;
    • Lodging claim forms;
    • Monitoring progress with the estate and payment of any monies due;
    • Generally dealing with correspondence, queries and so on between the executor and the credit provider.


Pre-legal

Our pre-legal department is staffed by experienced para-legals, who in some cases are qualified attorneys. This department is able to take legal steps which do not fall into a defended action such as:

  • Legal correspondence;
  • Issuing summons and obtaining summary judgement;
  • Taking steps to execute judgements, such as writs, section 65 proceedings and so on;
  • Negotiating settlements.


Legal

Our legal team comprises senior attorneys who are qualified and experienced in the recovery of distressed debt.
